Minerva Loi, DDS, MD
Minerva Loi, DDS, MD was born in San Francisco and raised on the Peninsula. Dr. Loi completed her undergraduate studies at the University of California, Davis. She then attended the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF) – School of Dentistry where she obtained her DDS degree. During this time, she received several honors in both research and academics. She then continued her education at UCSF for her residency in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery where she received her MD and surgical certificate. Dr. Loi’s special interests in facial cosmetic surgeries stems from her treatment of facial trauma and experience corrective jaw surgery, both of which require knowledge of both function and esthetics to address properly. Interestingly, Dr. Loi met Dr. Chase Lay when she sought his professional opinion and treatment of her own asymmetric eyelids. She absolutely loved her results and has stayed friends with Dr. Lay for many years, ultimately receiving mentorship from him for esthetic facial surgeries including blepharoplasties, facial fat transfers, and otoplasties. Since then, Dr. Loi has continued to expand her surgical knowledge and skill to help guide patients in achieving their surgical goal. Dr. Loi is excited to join Dr. Lay in providing her surgical skills to the community.
