Keloid and Scar Revision Photos - Case #820

This is a 21-year-old Asian male with a history of hypertrophic scarring and pruritus after a study earring had been placed the year before. Reconstruction was carried out using removal of the inflamed lining of the cartilage as well as the skin containing hypertrophic scar tissue. This was done in a single surgery and the sutures were removed 7 days later. This is a 2 week postoperative photograph
